On Our Way to Spokane for a check up

Nicholas has a doctors appointment this morning for a IGG check up. He is wearing his new favorite outfit. Please pray that his numbers stay high and that he does not need a infusion. I will update later.

UPDATE:

Nicholas' IGG level was 408 so the doctor decided to give him the infusion. Many kids are sick right now with the flu and runny noses, and mom will be in the hospital next week so it is important to keep his numbers high. His baseline was 400 so he was pretty close anyway. His last infusion was 11 weeks ago (July 6, 2006) and the one before that was 7 weeks so his body is holding more on its own. The doctor was also surprised that we have kept him well because of the amount of sick kids as we head into our flu season. His other numbers look great, and he is doing geat. Please pray that Nicholas continues to do well.

September 20, 2006 Wednesday - (Day +655) Outpatient - (Day 612)

Nicholas took up a seat on the couch in his car seat. He was playing video games because the weather is rainy and cold here. It did break long enough for him to have a coffee from his favorite stand and feed the ducks. Please pray for Nicholas and high IGG numbers during his doctors appointment in Spokane on Friday.

September 17, 2006 Sunday - (Day +652) Outpatient - (Day 609)

Nicholas had a very busy day today. We  went to a new park, and then back to the favorite park he loves so much. We then had lunch, and off to the river to feed the ducks. I took him to his moms this afternoon for a couple days and brought his brother Mitchell back down river with me to go to his dads home. This was a very fun weekend. Please continue to pray for Nicks health.

September 16, 2006 Saturday - (Day +651) Outpatient - (Day 608)

We went to airport park today and went down the "big slide." He has not been there since before transplant and I cannot believe that remembered after 2.5 years. He went down the slide like a big boy. He is growing up so fast. He found a friend to play with while we were there and did not want dad to help anymore, and he did not need the help either. :( I cannot believe how fast they grow up. Please continue to pray for Nicks health while we are coming into flu season.

September 15, 2006 Friday - (Day +650) Outpatient - (Day 607)

                                                                                Orofino Fair This Weekend

Wow, Look at Nicholas. I picked him up today and went to the carnaval. He was so excited. He went on the whale ride, the merry go round , the car ride and also went into the barn to see the "farm animals." He was petting the horse, talking to the cows and looked at the roosters. He came home with a lot of winnings. He played the frog game and won 3 stuffed animals, got a hat from the forest rangers, and just all around had a lot of fun. He has not been to the carnaval since he was 2 years old. I am glad that he can start to enjoy the normal things that kids do. Please continue to pray for Nicholas and his health.

September 11, 2006 Monday - (Day +646) Outpatient - (Day 603)

Please pray that his IGG levels stay high while he is at the germy fair.

Nicholas woke up ready to go. We were at the skate park right off the bat and he had a blast. His Mom called so he took a break to tell her all about it and that he was at the skate park. He is doing great and growing like a weed. We are going out top scooter and then have dinner. Please pray for our little Nicholas and his on-going health.

Nicholas has a Doctors appointment in Spokane today to get the IGG numbers and to see if he will need a transfusion. Please pray that his numbers stay high and we have a safe drive there and back. I will update later.

UPDATE:

Nicholas did so good today. We thought that he would be getting a infusion so we had the nurse put in a IV when they checked his blood levels, got ready and went into our room, ordered lunch, and the doctor came in and told us Nicholas was doing great and she was not going to infuse him today and come back in 3 weeks. His counts are all holding including his IGG levels. The nurse pulled out the IV and off we went. It was a wonderful day today. Please pray that Nicholas' counts continue to hold.

September 3, 2006 Sunday - (Day +638) Outpatient - (Day 595)

Nicholas had a very busy day. He was up at 5:30am and ready to go. He wanted to play his motorcycle DVD and go to the skate park. We ate and got our day started and away we went. He did so good at the skate park going over some of the bumps all by himself. We took his bike also and he did good on it also. Please pray for our little Nicholas who is growing up so fast.

September 2, 2006 Saturday - (Day +637) Outpatient - (Day 594)

Nicholas woke up this morning very excited to get out of bed and go play the motorcycle game (his video games) He chose his favorite "Spiderman shirt" and "jean shorts." What a ham bone. The ducks were very talkative today while we were feeding them. He rode his scooter and just had fun outside today. The heat has slower down to a mere 90 deg. Much better than 110deg. Please keep praying for Nicholas' IGG numbers to stay high. We have to be in Spokane at his doctors for another check up on Tuesday.
