October
31, 2006 Tuesday - (Day +695) Outpatient - (Day 652)
Its Halloween and we are "Trick or
treating!!"
|
|
 |
|
Nicholas and
I had so much fun trick or treating. He was not so sure of the homes
that had a lot of spooky's there, but he did great. After 2 or 3
houses he had it figured out. I had him just follow the other kids a
couple times and then he was a pro. We were out an hour and he
almost filled his bucket. Nicholas started at his grandmas house
then to "candy cane lane" we went where Mary lives. All
the kids go there. Then back here for dinner, bath, and bed. He was
very tired. Please pray for Nicholas and his great health. |

Nicholas
woke up this morning and started to sing his favorite song (healthy
food). He is really good at carrying a note. He has been singing
this song for days now and it is so funny to listen to him. He is
wearing his new favorite Spiderman jammies and we are getting ready
to go out and then this afternoon we are on our way to Moms house.
Please pray for our little Nicholas and his health.

|
|
Nicholas
woke up this morning on the go. The weather is turning a little
cooler, but we still get out to the park and play. Nick went to the
skate park and airport park. H loves to be outside during the day.
We played video games (our nightly routine) before he went to bed.
He did not react to the flu vaccine that he received yesterday and
is doing great. Please continue to pray for our little healthy
Nicholas.

Nicholas has
a doctors appointment today. We will go over his urine analysis, his
immunizations, and his IGG numbers. We will be leaving very early
today since it will be a very long day. I will update later with his
numbers and how he is doing. Please pray for great numbers and a
very safe trip to and from.
UPDATE:
Nicholas' appointment went very well. His IGG level is still
falling but is to be expected. He grew 1 inch taller and gained 1
pound in 4 weeks. His urinalysis test from 4 weeks ago came back
well in the normal range and the doctor was very happy with this.
His retic count was normal and ths means that his blood is not
hemolizing at all. All other tests were normal for him. The doctor
commented on how good he looks and how great his speech is. We
talked with her about the immunizations and we are going to start
them. Nicholas had his first shot yesterday and it was the first of
a 2 part series of the flu vaccine. He will get the next shot in 4
weeks when we go back for the next check up. Overall he is doing
very well and very healthy. Please pray for health and
continued growth.
More great news today!!!
Nicholas' iron counts have been running very high for a longtime.
The doctors have been doing some tests to see what it is and we
change his diet to a iron free diet. The doctors said it could take
3 to 6 months for the iron counts to drop if this is it. We had the
results today from the 3 month iron test and his count dropped in
half from 5200 to 2700. They dropped in half so this is raelly a
good thing. We will keep his diet this way and hopefully the counts
will continue to drop.

Nicholas
came down for a few days and after I picked him up he greeted me
with presents for my birthday. When he got here I also bought
him some surprises. He got new Spiderman PJ's, and a new Spiderman blanket.
He loves them. I put the blanket on his bed and he wanted to wear
the PJ's as you can see. He is so funny and growing so fast. I
bought him size 6 in the big boy section of the store. Please pray
for our little Nicholas and his great health. |

Nicholas is still sleeping in his own bed
and even got up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom. He
surprised me when he got up, but did the deed and went to bed. Last
night he made strides again forward. I think our little Nicholas is
growing up. He is going back to his moms today and he informed us
that he is going to see the blue balloon, feeding the ducks, Herreth
park, and lunch at McDonalds. What a day he has planned. After
arriving at his moms he showed me how he rides the 4 wheeler. He is
so cute. Please pray
for our little Nicholas and his health. |

Nicholas was very busy today and wore me
out. We played all day while the weather is still warm. Fall is in
full force, but the days are still very nice. He played for 2.5
hours at the park and had a lot of fun. He wants to go back
tomorrow. He played his video games with me and his all time
favorite right now is Wheel of Fortune. Please pray for Nicholas and
his IGG levels. |

Nicholas has been dancing and singing all

Nicholas woke up this morning to 1 dollar
that was left by the tooth fairy. He has 3 dollars now and he wants
to put them in his pocket. He was dancing all morning to the music
and the TV. He is so awesome. Wheel of Fortune is one of his
favorite shows and he got a wheel of fortune game today. He took it
to his moms to play with it and really likes it. Please keep on
praying for his health. |

8, 2006 Sunday - (Day +673) Outpatient - (Day 630)
|
|
|
|
Nicholas was decked out from head to toe
with Spiderman. We were out all day and then soon after we arrived
at Herreth Park it started to rain. We waited a while and when it
did not stop we left. He has so much fun there. We had a great day
and off to bed he went in his own bedroom. He lost another tooth
tonight so the tooth fairy is going to come. Nicholas put his tooth
under his pillow and was excited. Please pray for his continued
great health. |

Nicholas is here for the weekend. We are going to play games, go to
the skate park, and Herreth. It will be a weekend filled with fun. I
am still going to have Nicholas sleep in his bedroom in his bed. He
loves his new room and is playing there more and more. He seems like
he is growing up so fast. Please keep praying for his health.

|
Nicholas did great last night again. He slept in his bed all night
and did not even get up. He really likes his new bedroom, and "daddys
new house." We went out for our normal day routine and Remax
had a hot air balloon set up. Balloons are one of Nicholas' favorite
things, so I asked if he could go up for a ride, and he did. He was
a little cautious at first, then he wanted to keep riding. He had so
much fun. Please pray for our little Nicholas and his health.

4, 2006 Wednesday - (Day +669) Outpatient - (Day 626)
|
|
|
|
Nicholas loves his new place. He thinks his "new room" is
awesome. He was such a big boy and slept all night in his own bed
last night. He did not g up, not even once. He even played in his
room off and on all day. We went to the skate park and Herreth park
until we got rained out. He was busy all day and had fun. Now that
we have a dinning room table back he is eating all by himself at the
table. Wow, this has been a long time coming. He is doing great.
Please pray for the continued great health of Nicholas.

3, 2006 Tuesday - (Day +668) Outpatient - (Day 625)
|
|
|
|
Dad has spent the last couple of days moving into his new apartment.
Nicholas was so excited when he came over to see his new bed, room,
and everything. He ate his dinner at the table with Spongebob and
played his new video game. Nicholas lost another tooth today and the
tooth fairy is going to come and bring him something in his new
bedroom under his pillow. I am going to get him to sleep in his
bedroom, in his bed, all by himself tonight. Nicholas is doing great
and please pray fore his health.
