On Our Way to Spokane for a check up!!!!!

Here we are up at 5:30am in the morning and getting ready to go to the doctors for a check up. We are going to drive and will be back later this afternoon. I will update then. Please pray for great blood counts and a safe drive there and home.

UPDATE

Nicholas did great. His IGG count went down and we discussed with the doctor about giving it today or waiting a week to see how far he will drop if any, so we decided to wait and will go back for another check up next Thursday, and IVIG if he needs it. He is well above the 400 level that the doctors want him to be for now and maybe his body will maintain here. We will know more next week. Please pray for good counts during the next week.

Today was a great day. I picked up Nicks brother Mitchell and went to lunch on our way to meet Nick and Mom  at the fishing store. Nick was so excited. We came home and played, saw the ducks, and went for a drive to see the "yellow balloon." Here he is talking to his mom and saying good night. We all need to get up very early in the morning to go to Spokane for a IGG check up. He is a wild man so I think that everything will be good. Please pray for a good check up and his blood levels are good.

After a very long vacation for Dad (4 days) I got home and went to get Nicholas. I missed him very much. He looks great and feels great. June 17, 2006 Saturday - (Day +561) Outpatient - (Day 518)

Nicholas wore his new "Old Navy" jammies that I bought when we were in Salt lake a while ago. He decided to wear these instead of "Blues Clues." Nick woke up and wanted to ride his bike even before he got out of bed. It was so funny. He rode it down the hall and right on the computer to get on playhouse Disney - his favorite website. We are going to play until his Mom and my Mom get here. He is so awesome and doing great. He is wound up after his 10 hours of sleep and we are going to have a great day.

I will be leaving to Seattle to go to my Nieces graduation and will be gone for 5 days. I am having a hard time with the concept of being away from him for 5 days. I do not think that I have ever been away for that long:(:(  I miss him already.  Family is everything and all needs to be supported. Please pray for his continued great health and progress.

I have never seen him run so much, down the sidewalk and back numerous times. He has so much energy. I think that he is going to be a cross country runner :):):)LOL. He rode his bike this afternoon and rolled down the hill this evening. He is so awesome. Please pray for his continued great health.

Doctors check up in Spokane Washington

We were up early in the morning (5:30am) for the 2 hour drive to Spokane Washington and our appointment at 9:00am. He got right up and was ready to go with breakfast and meds finished by the time that we left. He played in the playroom, talked to Dr. Judy, and even showed off a little for her. He has really grown up since the last time she saw him and is talking now. His IGG level was 768 and Spokane's baseline is 500. We will be back in 2 weeks to establish Nicks baseline and see where these numbers go, hopefully his body maintains this level. We left and went to his favorite stop McDonalds and went home. The roads were very rainy all the way there and back so it made for a little slower drive. Please pray that Nick holds his numbers and our trip in 2 weeks is as good as this one.

June 13, 2006 Tuesday - (Day +557) Outpatient - (Day 514)

Nicholas had a great night sleeping and then wanted to get up, get dressed, ride his bike, and wear his favorite dump truck shirt. We spent the afternoon outside and the weather was great. Rain expected for the trip to Spokane tomorrow so we are getting our fill of outside now. I have not told him yet that we are going to the doctor tomorrow, but I think he will be ok with it. Please pray for his numbers to be good and we just come right back home.

June 12, 2006 Monday - (Day +556) Outpatient - (Day 513)

Nicholas had a great weekend camping and ran like a wild man for 3 days. He was so happy to get to go camping, be with the motorcycles, brother, the river and so on that he just had so much fun. He is with me for a couple days then off to Spokane to get his blood checked  on Wednesday for the IGG Levels. Dr. Judy has not seem him for over 1 year and what a shocker she will have. He is getting so big. He has gained back his 4 lbs. that he lost from being sick and then an extra pound. He is eating great and growing everyday. What a trooper. Please pray for a great Dr. appointment on Wednesday and his health continues to get better.

June 9, 2006 Friday - (Day +553) Outpatient - (Day 510)

Nicholas had a great day today. He woke up wanting to ride his bike and roll down the hill. He loves it outside and he will have fun with brother camping this weekend. He is riding his bike quite a bit again because he feels much better. We should get the results of the test for C-Diff after the weekend even though I think that it is gone. Please pray for Nicholas and his health.

June 8, 2006 Thursday - (Day +552) Outpatient - (Day 509)

Nicholas woke up this morning pretty gassy. He did a lot of gulping. He ate well, and has great energy. We took a sample in to the doc's today to be tested for C-Diff since we are a week off medicine. Please pray that it comes back negative for C-Diff or anything else. We had a lot going on today. He rode his bike and rolled down the grass hill this afternoon and I could hardly get him to come in for dinner. He was wound tight this afternoon, tighter that I think that I have ever seen. When we got ready to go ride his bike he wanted to wear my shoes and he wanted me to wear his. It was so funny, he was just ready to go with my shoes on, but his would not fit my feet so we switched "I Guess." His Big Dog dump truck shirt is his favorite so I need to find him another one to wear also. Please pray for Nicholas and his health.

June 7, 2006 Wednesday - (Day +551) Outpatient - (Day 508)

Nicholas came over to spend a few days with me and he is doing great. He is eating like a champ and is full energy. He wanted to go everywhere today, McDonalds, Starbucks, spinnies, pizza wednesdays, etc...We had a lot of fun. C-Diff seems to be gone and the reflux also seems to be under control. He is a lot of fun. I just love him!! Please continue to pray for our little Nicholas and that we are on a full path to recovery.

June 4, 2006 Sunday - (Day +548) Outpatient - (Day 505)

Nicholas went to his moms today he was excited to see his brother. He is eating better all of the time and putting on some of the weight that he lost. We need to make sure the C-Diff does not come back and he is still gulping. This seems to be getting worse. We will do some more tests to make sure that everything is ok and the C-Diff stays gone. Please pray for Nicholas that the C-diff is gone and his health continues to do well.

June 3, 2006 Saturday - (Day +547) Outpatient - (Day 504)

Nicholas slept 10 hours from 9:00pm - 7:00am this morning and he woke me up with a tickle under my arm pit. I opened one eye and asked if he was awake and he said "yes, coffee" We then got out of bed went to the living room and proceeded to enjoy our morning coffee. He has been on the go since. His eating is back like it was before this all started. He ate his cream of wheat all by himself today with no help, and ate almost all of the bowl with his own spoon. He has been on the computer, checked e-mail, watched Wiggles and now we are getting ready to go out for a drive. Please pray for the C-Diff to be gone and we stay on a very healthy path from now one.

June 2, 2006 Friday - (Day +546) Outpatient - (Day 503)

Nicholas came over yesterday and got right on my computer. He loves to play his games on the laptop. Little Einstein's is one of his favorite games on the computer and videos on the television. He is off the medicine for C-Diff and I think that it is all gone. He is just on the amoxilicillin that he will always be on because he has no spleen or Gaul bladder. He is very full of energy and says the funniest things. His weight is coming back and he is eating like a champ. Please continue to pray for our little Nicholas and his health.
