The Primary Childrens Medical Center in Salt Lake City has found a possible donor for use in Nicks bone marrow transplant.. This particular donor has passed 3 of the 3 rounds of testing and we have a 9 / 10 match. This is a great match, but they are currently testing two cord blood donors over seas to see if they are a 6 / 6 match. A 6 / 6 cord blood match would be as good if not better than a 9 / 10 match from a bone marrow donor. We should know in a week or so of the possible cord blood matches.

The Primary Childrens Medical Center in Salt Lake City has found a possible donor. This particular donor has passed 2 of the 3 rounds of testing and we have a 6/6 match. The next round of testing will let us know if we have a 10/10 match that is needed. The doctors are working hard to find out and we should know in a week or so.
