On August 26, 2004 Nicholas, his father and his mother made a trip down to Salt lake City to see Dr. James Kushner, MD at the University of Utah School Of Medicine. At this time we were told that Nicholas has Congenital Erythropoietic Porphyria (CEP). We were always told that Nicholas had a undiagnosed red blood cell anemia, but the doctors did not know what. We have know have some answers and it is time to move forward with the cure.Know that we have a direction for the treatment of Nicholas and the CEP his mother and his father will need to go to Salt Lake City for at least 4-6 months while Nicholas undergoes a bone marrow transfusion. This will be a grooling process for all involved, but it is the only cure and assurance that Nicholas will have a normal life.

For the next couple of months the Doctors at Primary Children's Medical Center in Salt Lake City, Utah will be looking for a bone Marrow Donor for Nicholas. Pray for a good donor!!
